Railroad Depot Project
Moclips-by-the-Sea Historical
Society and
Museum of the North Beach
Our
group was formed in 2001 with the intent to celebrate the Centennial
of our small coastal community of Moclips, which was founded in
1905. Questions were asked, then answered, then new questions arose
to lead us to neighboring communties, events and places. The search
broadened, interest sparked, and the membership exploded. We now
have a simply wonderful museum with artifacts dating back to 1905.
We have over 300 members, a new book to publish, and yes, the 2005
Moclips Centennial to manage.
Moclips-by-the-Sea
Historical Society and Museum was founded for educational and cultural
purposes including the collection, preservation and interpretation
of artifacts, photos, documents, sites and buildings relating to
the history of Moclips and the North Beach of Grays Harbor County,
Washington (from Pt. Brown to the Quinault River) for the present
and future generations to come.
We
also belong to the Washington Museum Association, and are an accredited
Non-Profit group as described in rule 501(c)3 of the IRS code.
